Welcome to the Assistance League® of Capistrano Valley's first "Virtual" Walk-4-Kids walk-a-thon! This will be the largest and most important fundraiser for our organization in 2020.  As most of you know, I am an avid cyclist so I will be cycling (and not virtually!) instead of walking for my fundraising campaign.  I commit to cycle 200 miles by November 15th.

I became a member of the Assistance League® in 2019.  It is a wonderful philanthropic organization that provides meaningful assistance to local families. The coronavirus pandemic has changed many aspects of life, including forcing the temporary shutdown/reduced hours of our beloved Bargain Box thrift store which provides much of the funding for our philanthropic programs.

One thing that hasn't changed is that local children still need our help. Proceeds raised through ALCV's Walk-4-Kids will enable us to provide the help that so many of these children absolutely depend on.

Last year we returned over $156,000 back into the community through our programs:

  • Back to School clothing for over 1,000 local students
  • Grants to middle school teachers to enrich their classroom instruction
  • New clothing for children on Camp Pendleton (newborn to high school seniors)
  • One to One assistance in literacy for special needs elementary students
  • Scholarships to graduating seniors from military families

This was accomplished all through sales at our Bargain Box thrift store, donations from people like you and many hours of volunteer service from people like me.

We have automated this critical fundraiser to make donations quick and simple. I have a personal goal to raise $700, and this is my own webpage where friends and family can donate to help me achieve my goal!

Thank you for supporting the Assistance League and local children in need!

ALCV is a non-profit 501(c) (3) EIN #95-3201899
