Welcome to Assistance League of Capistrano Valley's First "Virtual" Walk-4-Kids! This will be the largest and most important fundraiser for our organization this year.

The coronavirus pandemic has changed many aspects of life, including forcing the temporary shut-down/reduced hours of our beloved Bargain Box thrift store which provides much of the funding for our programs.

Although this Walk-A-Thon is virtual this year due to the pandemic, we hope you will support us.

One thing that hasn't changed is local children from Capistrano Unified School District and Camp Pendleton still need our help. Proceeds raised through this Walk-4-Kids will enable us to provide the help that so many of these children absolutely depend on. Below is a list of the programs we support.

Just in the last year, ALCV returned $156,000 back into the community:

  • Operation School Bell clothed over 1,000 children with Back to School clothing in the Capistrano Unified School District totaling $70,000.
  • Chapters for Children helped clothe over 1500 Camp Pendleton Marine children.
  • Links to Learning awarded 88 grants to 13 middle schools in the Capistrano Unified School District providing $30,400.00 in funding.
  • Hands on Literacy sent members to schools to provide one-to-one reading assistance to 86 elementary school children with special needs and provided $2,000 in materials.
  • I.N.S.P.I.R.E. awarded $10,000 worth of scholarships to single parents attending Saddleback College who returned to school to earn their degrees.
  • Scholarships for Military Families provided $20,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors from military families to be used for college or trade school.

Thank you for your continued support!!!
